This activity requires the following:
Once you have finished a text, it is important to spend time talking about the main ideas. When reading fiction, discuss the start, middle and end of the story, or the introduction, problem and resolution.
2. When reading non-fiction text, talk about the main topic and ideas and any new information your child has learned.
3. At the end of the story, discuss: How did the story start? What happened in the story? Talk about – What was the problem in the story? What happened in the end? What did the characters learn at the end?
